AMERICAN CANYON

The Syar Industries reclamation plan for the former American Canyon Quarry site, located in southern Napa County, was to take the former quarry site and return the area to a more natural land form with native vegetation.

In early 2010, Syar received the approval from Napa County to begin the reclamation process and by April 2010 reclamation activities were underway. Grading activities occurred throughout the summer and were completed in August 2010. Following the grading activities, hydro-seeding and manual planting of vegetation was conducted on approximately 37 acres. Since then, the property has begun to flourish with foliage and wildlife while Syar, under the guidance of Napa County, has been monitoring the site to ensure that the reclamation activities continue to succeed.
