ENVIRONMENTAL
As with any mineral resource, rock, sand and gravel of construction grade are found in very select locations. Whenever this valuable resource is found, the size of the parcel of land that possesses the deposit is much larger than the deposit itself. For this reason Syar Industries owns several thousand acres of land surrounding its mineral extraction sites that it has developed into agricultural production, including grape vineyards, row crops and cattle grazing.
In the areas where Syar’s mineral extraction is occurring or has occurred, Syar has also developed reclamation plans that will restore these areas back to a more natural state. Some of the areas will be restored to open space for the preservation of special plants or animals. Other areas will be restored back to an agricultural use and others to environmental habitat areas where animals, fish, and birds can live and thrive for years to come under conservation easements that Syar has placed on the land for this purpose.
